The Resort Support Team role is essential for the smooth running of our resorts and covers a multitude of roles. This position is for the person who is able to demonstrate a broad range of skills and flexibility, is highly motivated and who relishes variety in their role. These positions let you dip in to all walks of resort life, providing support to chalet hosts and resort management whilst helping to ensure our guests have an excellent holiday.

the role.

This position runs from mid November to late April

Support Team roles may be purely chalet based, or can include a combination of other logistical responsibilities:​

  • Chalet Hosting:  All Resort Support staff will have some Chalet Hosting responsibilities.  Whether that be assisting in a chalet, or in some cases running a chalet single-handed to cover for illness or injury.  For this reason we require all of our Resort Support staff to have a clear understanding of the Chalet Host role and the confidence and ability to step in when required.  If Resort Support staff have responsibilities as outlined above, then these would usually take priority over helping in chalets, but it is essential that our Resort Support staff are flexible and willing to undertake roles driven by the needs of the business.

key specific duties.

Duties are varied, depending on your skill set, but generally include:

  • Meet & greet our customers on arrival and ensure smooth running of transfers to and from resort.

  • Organise and deliver an informative welcome speech, ensuring that all sales for ski packs and après ski are maximized to achieve and wherever possible exceed targets set.

  • Visit guests where required and complete online reporting, dealing promptly with any issues that arise in these visits.

  • Collecting and distributing ski passes.

  • Sharing responsibility for the efficient running of the chalet with the chalet host (see chalet host job description).

  • Assisting in the chalet, hosting, serving and preparing meals and keeping the chalet clean at all times. Ensuring all procedures and standards set out in the staff manuals are met, including Health & Safety, Hygiene standards and all local regulations.

  • Complete running of the chalet when required.

  • Participation in the collection and delivery of laundry and general supplies between chalets.

  • Keeping access paths and steps to and from the chalets and any other communal steps free of snow and ice at all times.

  • Shopping trips.

about you.

All Resort Support staff will be called upon to help facilitate the smooth running of resort, whether that means counting linen, clearing snow, running errands or assisting team members when required.  This role suits those who like variety in their work and who can help to spread best practice across their team.

 

As part of our overseas team, you will need to be flexible, particularly relevant in this role, adaptable, self-motivated and use your own initiative. You should have excellent communication skills coupled with the capacity of working under pressure.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with the following skills:

  • A passion for skiing or snowboarding.

  • Team player with aspiration for more responsibility.

  • A cooking qualification or proven ability to cook appetising meals for between 6 and 18 people, please see our cookery schools page for advice on becoming qualified.

  • Substantial general household maintenance or experience in a maintenance role.

  • Excellent, personable customer service.

  • An eye for detail with good organisational skills.

  • Relentless energy, flexibility and a strong desire to succeed.

  • Willingness to ensure all local regulations, health & safety and hygiene standards are fully adhered to

  • Preferably, but not essential, a clean, valid, full driving licence. (With no points for drink driving or dangerous driving).

  • A very high level of spoken English.

  • Competitive base salary plus holiday pay (paid monthly in Euros into your French bank account):

    • Dependent on experience, starting from €26,000 p.a (pro rata).
